"I really admire Tor Falcon's painting. She captures place and time and mood so that you are right there when you stand in front of one of her landscapes. She notices quiet and autumnal scenes in a very English undemonstrative way that links her to all my favourite painters of the twentieth century such as Nash, Ravilious and Piper. Yet the painting itself refers more to the bold abstraction of Ivon Hitchens or perhaps the low greens of Corot. " Emma Bridgewater
